Starbucks lovers have yet another way to earn stars at their favorite coffee place as Starbucks and Chase have launched a Starbucks Rewards Visa card that is integrated into the coffee maker's loyalty program.
The card allows customers to earn stars in and out of Starbucks' 8,000-plus locations, according to a company press release.
"It's important to us to make earning rewards as easy for our customers as possible, and the Starbucks Rewards Visa Card is a powerful tool for us to do that because of how easily it fits into their daily lives," Matt Ryan, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Starbucks, said in the release. "This credit card also makes every day more rewarding for Starbucks and Chase customers through the ability to quickly earn Stars and benefits — including more food and beverage Rewards for any occasion."
Once approved for the card customers can load a digital version into the Starbucks mobile app. Cardholders earn 2,500 stars after spending $500 in the first three months from opening the Visa card and 250 stars when the use the card in the mobile app.
The card, which has an annual $49 fee, reflects an expanding relationship between the two companies, according to the release. A second co-branded product, the Starbucks Rewards Visa Prepaid Card will launch later this year.
