Starbucks adds to loyalty program

SEATTLE — Starbucks has introduced Starbucks Gold, an enhancement of its Starbucks Card Rewards loyalty program. For an annual membership of $25, Starbucks Gold customers receive a card that gives them 10 percent off most purchases at participating Starbucks stores in the United States.
In addition to 10 percent off most purchases, including espresso beverages, food, whole bean coffee, espresso machines, grinders and other merchandise, customers will receive members-only offers and invitations once they register their Gold Card online atwww.starbucksgold.com.
Other registration perks include a complimentary beverage on one's birthday, friends and family days where members can share their discount and free Wi-Fi access for two hours each day.
