Snappy Salads hosts cycling tour to benefit charity

Snappy Salads is a sponsor for an Oct. 1 regional cycling event called Tour de Fresh, which benefits the Let's Move Salad Bars to Schools campaign, according to a press release.

"We enjoy giving back to the community that supports us and are always looking for ways to partner with like-minded organizations," Chris Dahlander, founder and CEO of Snappy Salads, said in the release. "Tour de Fresh aligns perfectly with our core values of promoting good food and good health.  Our goal is to have 200 riders so that we can make a real difference."

The brand's Fort Worth location will host the event's start and finish line ceremonies, while also serving snacks at race time and a post-race lunch. All 10 Snappy Salads locations will collect donations of change from customers, according to the release. The brand was recently given the Texas Restaurant Association Restaurant Neighbor Award for its support of men's health awareness initiatives, as well as nutritional education for underprivileged children.
