Shift4Payments names DoorDash as launch partner for third-party software marketplace

Payments processing provider Shift4Payments announced a deal with food delivery service DoorDash to be the launch partner of its newly launched marketplace for third-party software that will be used to enhance customer point-of-sale systems.

Shift4Payments said that DoorDash will be the first of several companies that will participate in its marketplace service. The companies will include a range of solutions, including online reservations, loyalty, employee scheduling, marketing and accounting. 

"We are constantly working to empower our merchant customers with new tools to help their business," Jared Isaacman, CEO of Shift4Payments, said in a company announcement. "Our best-in-class secure payments platform serves as the foundation for an entire merchant ecosystem, delivering not only payment processing services, but seamless integration POS systems and software, powerful business management tools and access to a wide array of third-party services through our marketplace."
