Shake Shack Inc. has named former Portillo’s and Domino’s executive Michelle Hook as its CFO to lead financial operations and support the brand's 1,500-unit growth strategy.

Shake Shack Inc. has named Michelle Hook as its chief financial officer. Hook moves to Shake Shack from Portillo's, where she served as CFO since 2020. During her tenure at the Chicago-based chain, she helped lead the company through its 2021 initial public offering and managed finance, supply chain and information technology departments.

Prior to Portillo's, Hook spent 17 years at Domino's Pizza Inc. in various leadership roles, most recently as vice president of finance for global financial planning and analysis and investor relations.

"I've long admired Shake Shack and the team's disciplined approach to building a beloved brand," Hook said in the release. "The team's ability to grow thoughtfully while keeping hospitality at the core of the business is a powerful driver of sustainable value."

A certified public accountant, Hook holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University.

Shake Shack, which opened its first location in Madison Square Park in 2004, has grown to more than 685 systemwide locations, including 245 international sites.
