Shake Shack has rolled out web ordering across the nation following a 10-city pilot that enabled users to place orders and skip the line for pick up, according to a company press release. It also announced this week that it has redesigned its mobile app.
The app, which allows guests to complete the ordering process using fewer screens and speeds up the ordering process by 50 percent, gives the company the ability to message customers based on where they are in the lifecycle with things like app-exclusive menu items, special offers and local offers.
Although the app doesn't currently include Venmo and Apple pay, the infrastructure is there for future integration. Shake Shack will test the payment options next year, according to a company spokesperson.
Shake Shack, which has more than 200 locations in the U.S. and 70 around the world, developed the redesigned app in collaboration with development agency Fuzz and mobile ordering platform Olo.
