Sbarro introduces LTO italian sausage and peppers pizza

Sbarro debuts a new pizza inspired by the italian sausage sub.

Sbarro introduced a new pizza Wednesday inspired by the italian sausage sub. Available for a limited time, the classic italian sausage and peppers pizza is created with a sicilian sauce and a crust topped with sesame seeds, according to a company press release. Roasted peppers and onions combine with Sbarro's mozzarella cheese on top of fresh dough, which is made in-house daily.

"We are mixing two Italian favorites into a classic we are sure our customers will love," said Dwayne Adams, Sbarro's vice president of culinary. "This hearty new recipe offers bold flavors that will keep the entire family satisfied."

The classic italian sausage and peppers pizza will be available in participating stores through Jan. 4.

Sbarro has has more than 800 eateries across 33 countries.
