Sales increase 32% during California Tortilla's Pop Tart Day promo

ROCKVILLE, Md. — California Tortilla's annual Pop-Tart Day sales increased 32 percent over the previous six Wednesdays, the company has announced. The long-time promotion, held May 20, featured a new twist this year, as one customer at each store found a "Golden Ticket" in their Pop-Tart wrapper, winning free burritos for an entire year.
People who followed the company on Facebook and Twitter got live updates on where the Golden Tickets were discovered.
In all, more than 20,000 Pop-Tarts were given away across the company's 38 locations.
