Saladworks has announced that same-store sales for the second quarter are up 4 percent from last year. Year to date, Saladworks is up 9.3 percent.
"The popularity of salad is greater than ever," said John Scardapane, chairman/CEO. "At a time when many concepts are scrambling to add salads to their menu, we have been perfecting fresh, made-to-order salads for 26 years – we are the nation's No. 1 salad franchise."
Saladworks is rapidly expanding and has already opened stores in Virginia, Delaware, Florida, California, New Jersey and Illinois in 2012. Additional stores will continue to open throughout 2012 including stores in new markets such as Washington State, Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas and Arizona. In addition, Saladworks will open its first of many international locations in Singapore toward the later part of 2012.
Also, Saladworks recently hired a social influence manager that has helped to double the brand's Facebook fans and Twitter followers and triple its social media engagement this year.
"This year is shaping up to be one for the record books," Scardapane added. "In addition to the same-store sales increase, we are also on track to set a franchise sales record. As we head into the late summer and fall, we are poised for continued growth that's due in large part to our dedication to our customers by our franchise Brand Partners, top-notch crew members and hardworking corporate team."
