Revel Systems, an iPad Point of Sale provider, announced it has secured a $1.2 million grant from Invest Northern Ireland to open a UK sales and operations center in Belfast.
According to a news release, Invest Northern Ireland aims to grow the local economy by attracting new investments to the Northern Ireland region, thereby helping new and existing businesses compete internationally.
"Our point-of-sale systems empower merchants, helping them to thrive and grow, and we are excited about the market opportunity here in the UK and across Europe," Revel CEO Lisa Falzone said in the release. "As we enter the holiday season, antiquated systems that cannot handle high sales volume will hold back businesses and economic growth Revel's mission is to support entrepreneurs around the globe by providing them with the tools they need to succeed. We are excited to help European merchants take their businesses to the next level and are looking for dynamic leaders with real entrepreneurial spirit who can continually look for new creative solutions to meet customers' needs."
The Revel platform includes front-end order entry, POS system and payment processing, back-end personnel scheduling, time clock and payroll, inventory management, comprehensive product/menu management and advanced reporting to measure business performance.
