Revel Systems has announced a cloud-based POS and business management platform built specifically for pizzerias.
The solution, according to a press release, is part of the Revel's strategy to provide specific technology for key industry verticals.
The pizza enterprise technology, now part of the Revel Enterprise and Revel Essentials portfolio, was designed using best practices attained from hundreds of pizzeria deployments, according to the release.
It features a series of preconfigured templates for speedier business initiatives and focuses on simplifying a pizzeria's ongoing system management.
The templates help with key capabilities such as building menus and developing staffing schedules. The end-to-end workflow management ensures online orders are filled quickly and accurately, while keeping the customer informed throughout the process, which leads to a positive user experience, according to the release.
"The pizza industry is experiencing continuous change and challenging competition because of increased technology adoption and consumer expectations," said Chris Lybeer, Revel chief strategy officer, in the release. "Using substantial customer and consumer input, we spent significant focused time building a solution that meets the specific and unique needs of pizzerias, and supports the rapidly evolving demands of digital consumers."
Revel's pizza solution supports inventory management in real time by maintaining a precise view. On the customer side, diners can track topping ingredient levels with every order processed, and the system can remember a customer's favorite pie choices via the built-in customer relationship management capability.
