Planet Smoothie rolls out coffee smoothies

ATLANTA— Planet Smoothie has partnered with NESCAFÉ, a Nestlé beverage brand, to develop coffee smoothies.
Beginning this month, every Planet Smoothie will offer four unique coffee flavored smoothies: Java the Nut (mocha and peanut butter); Choctane (mocha); Love Ya Latte (think: blended latte) and Liquid Alarm Clock (the coffee-est of these four). Made with NESCAFÉ specialty coffee concentrates, the smoothies appeal to the convenience-driven, active consumer.
According to a news release, Planet Smoothie collaborated with Deep Advertising, a Nestlé FoodServices agency, to develop the advertising surrounding this launch. Deep Advertising created counter cards, danglers, vertical signs and t-shirts to be distributed in all 123 Planet Smoothie locations. The tagline of the exaggerated and bold print campaign is "Drink Up," and it features four distinctive cartoon sketches — one for each of the new smoothies.
Suggested retail pricing of the Java the Nut, Choctane, Love Ya Latte and Liquid Alarm Clock smoothies is $4.95 for the 22oz; $5.99 for the 32oz; and $6.99 for the 44oz.
