Petrus Brands names Gloria Garrett EVP, Marketing

Petrus Brands, parent company of Shane’s Rib Shack and Planet Smoothie, has named Gloria Garrett as its new executive vice president of Marketing. In this position, Garrett will lead all strategic marketing efforts including brand management, consumer insights, field marketing, growth initiatives and all national integrated marketing including advertising and public relations.

”Gloria has one of the best food and beverage pedigrees I have seen in the industry,” said Chris Morocco, CEO of Petrus Brands.  “It says a great deal about the potential of our brands to secure a talent like Gloria and it couldn’t come at a better time, as we continue to expand the Shane’s Rib Shack and Planet Smoothie brands.”

A seasoned veteran in the marketing and foodservice arena, Garrett has worked directly with national restaurant concepts, most recently as senior vice president of brand management for Olive Garden.  In addition to her position at Darden Restaurants, Garrett has held executive marketing and branding roles with The Coca-Cola Company, Microban International, Revlon and Mars Inc.

“We have two brands with enormous potential, a strong management team and committed investors.  Shane’s has a dynamic leader in Shane Thompson and Planet Smoothie is in an increasingly important healthy foods segment that’s gaining consumer mindshare.  I believe we are well positioned to do great things,” Garrett said.

Garrett holds an M.B.A degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan.
