Panda Express sweeps through Manhattan

The grand opening of the newest Panda Express location in Manhattan, New York, located at 835 Third Ave, will be on June 24.

In celebration Panda Express is donating 20 percent of the day's proceeds to the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, according to a release.

Throughout opening week, guests will receive coupons and have a chance to meet the Panda mascot.

"We look forward to deepening our commitment to the local community, not only through serving our guests but also working with the many residents we have employed as associates for this new location. With each new restaurant, we are able to hire more people and are committed to their growth within our Panda family," said Apo Chavez, area coach of operations, in a statement.

Menu items at the new location include mapo tofu, salt and pepper shrimp and seasonal vegetables with black pepper sauce. Online ordering will be available as well.

The brand plans to open two more locations in Manhattan later this summer, which will total seven in New York City.
