Panchero's to mix burrito ingredients
April 7, 2008
CORALVILLE, Iowa — Beginning this month, Panchero's Mexican Grill restaurants across the country will mix burrito ingredients together, before wrapping it all up in a tortilla, using a plastic tool named Bob. The tool was implemented to keep customers from biting into only one ingredient in their burritos.
Founded in 1992, Coralville, Iowa-based Panchero's Mexican Grill menu includes made-to-order burritos, quesadillas, tacos, burrito bowls and salads, along with homemade salsas, guacamole and queso.
Panchero's has more than 45 locations in 15 states. About 20 new units are expected to open in 2008, including planned expansion into Georgia, Virginia and New Jersey.
