Modern Market introduces healthy summer menu options

Modern Market, the Colorado-based farm-to-table concept, has announced the introduction of seasonal menu items including a blueberry pesto sandwich, mint salad, sausage pesto pizza, toscano salad, flatbread, dessert pizza and ginger maple roasted veggies.

"For this summer menu, I set out to create craveable items with clean ingredients," Modern Market Chef and Director of Culinary Operations Nate Weir said in a press release. "Instead of using sugary icing on the new dessert, for example, we introduce Greek yogurt. Rather than processed sugar in the new salad dressings, you’ll find apple cider vinegar. These ingredients are not only better for you, they are arguably better tasting."

The concept currently operates in Colorado and Texas, and has plans to move into the Washington, D.C., metro area.
