Milwaukee-based Melthouse Bistro and Tali Payments have partnered to allow the grilled cheese chain's customers to order and pay for food and drinks from their smartphones. They can pick up orders at the restaurant for dine in or take out at the time they designate, allowing them to skip the line, Susan Davis, co-owner of Melthouse Bistro, said in a company press release.
"We want to keep evolving the Melthouse Bistro brand experience in a way that fits the lifestyle of our tech-savvy consumers," Davis said. "Tali Payments offers a world class, all-encompassing digital payment solution. The user experience is dazzling and the feedback that we have received to date has been overwhelmingly positive."
Setting up Tali Payments is easy, said Carlton Reeves, founder and president of Reeves Technologies, the maker of Tali Payments.
"Simply download the free app, link your credit card, and away you go," he said. "With the Tali Payment iPhone app, Milwaukee-area diners never have to open or close a tab again. Just go to Melthouse Bistro, or any other restaurant where Tali Payments is accepted and your tab goes with you."
Between now and Nov. 30, customers who download the free Tali Payments iPhone app and make a pre-tax purchase of $15 or more at Melthouse Bistro, will get a $5-account credit. To receive the offer, they must use the promo code MELTHOUSE when signing up on the app.
Plans are in works to launch Android and Windows versions of the app, Reeves said.
