La Madeleine commits to $100,000 Susan G. Komen for the Cure donation

October 20, 2011

To further demonstrate its support for fellow Dallas-based Susan G. Komen for the Cure, la Madeleine Country French Cafe has recommitted to the fight against breast cancer by extending its "Card for the Cause" program, doubling its donation commitment to at least $100,000 over the next year.

"La Madeleine remains dedicated to helping fund leading research and life-saving community outreach projects through our partnership with Susan G. Komen," said la Madeleine president and chief operating officer Phil Costner. "We hope that our customers will continue to share in our passion for finding a cure by participating in our 'Card for the Cause' program."

The "Card for the Cause" can be purchased at any la Madeleine café for $35 and entitles guests to 10 percent off most purchases for one year. Previous cardholders may renew their "Card for the Cause" for $25. From now through Sept. 28, 2014, la Madeleine will donate 1 percent of the total purchases made by guests that present a "Card for the Cause" (excluding alcohol and gift card sales) to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and has committed to a minimum donation of $100,000.

La Madeleine Country French Cafe owns and operates 60 cafes in Texas; Atlanta; Washington, D.C. and Louisiana.
