Juice It Up! to open two California locations under veteran franchise agreement

Juice It Up!, a raw juice bar and hand-crafted smoothie chain, will open two additional locations in the Inland Empire under a franchise agreement with Marine Corps veteran Ken Hardy and his wife, Kristina.

Hardy was eligible for Juice It Up!'s VetFran Platinum Program and took advantage of incentives including a 60 percent discount on the initial franchise fee. Operating under MaLa Enterprises LLC, the couple will open the brand's fourth Fontana, California location in late 2017.

"After over 30 years of helping to run other businesses, I felt it was time to be my own boss and partner with a brand that excited me. With a passion for leading an active lifestyle, my wife and I met with many health-focused concepts and quickly realized that Juice It Up! was something we wanted to be a part of," Hardy said in the press release. "It was also refreshing to learn about Juice It Up's generous franchise incentives for veterans, which made us confident that we were partnering with the best brand for us."

With locations in California, Texas, New Mexico, Oregon and opening soon in Florida, the company is also seeking additional franchise partners in Southern California.

"The Inland Empire has been and continues to be an attractive region for our brand due to its warmer climate, growing population focused on healthy dining options, and raving Juice It Up! fan base," said Carol DeNembo, Juice It Up! vice president of business development.

Juice It Up! expects to add at least 10 additional units by the end of the year.

The company will exhibit at The Franchise Show October 20-21, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, Florida.
