Jamba Inc. and US Foods have announced that they have formed a supply chain distribution alliance for service in the northeastern United States. The alliance will provide Jamba with greater supply chain efficiencies, consolidate distribution channels, enhance service to existing Jamba outlets and enable expansion into new geographic areas.
“Jamba continues to work on ways to simplify and align our distribution to best support future traditional and non-traditional growth and to strive for ongoing service enhancements through access to value-added resources and technology, while finding effective mechanisms to manage expenses,” said Greg Schwartz, senior vice president, Supply Chain, Jamba Juice Company. “This alliance with US Foods will help us to reduce costs and improve our overall service while focusing on continuous quality improvement.”
US Foods operates one of the largest private trucking fleets in the country and offers more than 350,000 national brand products and its own “exclusive brand” items, ranging from fresh meats and produce to prepared and frozen foods.
