Houston-area Amazon Prime members can now get food delivered in an hour from a large assortment of restaurants in the Texas city. Houston subscribers to the service can use the Prime Now website to view participating restaurants and menus, as well as place orders and track delivery status.
"The thriving and diverse restaurant scene in the Bayou City can now be conveniently delivered to your door for free delivery with no menu markups through Amazon Restaurants on Prime Now," said Amazon Restaurants General Manager Gus Lopez, in a release.
Prime Now Restaurant Delivery does not mark up or charge fees to deliver. Customers who find restaurants upcharging in their delivery menus can receive a refund on whatever they ordered, as long as the customer reports the problem within 24 hours.
About 100 Houston restaurants are participating in the program.
