Habit Burger debuts in Humboldt County with Eureka opening

"There is a demand for diverse dining options that the menu at Habit fulfills," a company spokesperson told Fast Casual, adding that no additional Humboldt County locations are planned at this time.

Local media reports said the restaurant hired about 50 employees for the Eureka location. Habit's executive chef, Jason Triail, said the restaurant's success will be measured in part by its involvement in the local community.

"Hospitality has always been a huge part of the Habit experience," Triail told the Times-Standard.

"For us, that means creating a welcoming environment, getting to know our guests, supporting local schools and organizations when possible, and becoming part of the neighborhood."

Habit Burger & Grill is headquartered in Irvine, California, and operates about 400 restaurants and 14 food trucks across 15 states.
