Genghis Grill has introduced a new healthy-influenced campaign in partnership with Dallas-based Medical City Hospital. The campaign, Health Kwest, challenges restaurant guests to dedicate themselves to health and fitness for three months by eating Genghis Grill's healthier meal options daily.
Medical City Hospital will provide each contestant with a dietician-recommended diet and exercise plan and will further assist in analyzing monthly test results during the campaign. They also will help monitor and choose the campaign’s $10,000 winner.
During their three-month Health Kwest, participants will be given the opportunity to share their journey online by blogging about their day to day progress, utilizing Facebook and Twitter to gain social media popularity. The public will be able to partake on the contestant's journey at www.gghealthkwest.com, where they can also vote for their favorite contestant. Based on the percentage of weight loss and most public votes, the winner will receive $10,000.
"We are absolutely excited about the potential of Health Kwest here at Genghis Grill. We always felt that we didn't do enough to educate our fans about the healthier and nutritional aspects of our restaurants. I really feel this message will be driven home with this campaign," said Al Bhakta, president and CEO of Genghis Grill.
Interested fans can fill out the Health Kwest application, available at participating Genghis Grill locations or online. All applications must be submitted by Jan. 27, 2011. The campaign begins Feb. 1 and ends May 31.
