Freshii expanding Middle East footprint

June 7, 2012

Freshii is targeting prime markets in the Middle East region for further expansion. The first Middle East Freshii location opened in 2009 in the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Dubai franchise group is preparing to open its second location in mid-June in Healthcare City.

The second site selected was the Al Razi Building, part of Dubai Healthcare City.

"The first Freshii Dubai restaurant is one of the most profitable stores in the entire Freshii system because of the execution of our franchise partners, and because demand for our health conscious concept is very high in the region," said Freshii founder and CEO, Matthew Corrin. "We are evaluating other potential franchise partners for high-growth markets across the MENA region, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and others."

Freshii's franchise development partner Fransmart is also responsible for the launch of franchise programs for Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Qdoba Mexican Grill and zpizza. Fransmart's current and past portfolio brands include more than 2,000 restaurants in 45 states and more than 35 countries, including prominent MENA expansions for Elevation Burger, zpizza and Vapiano.

Freshii now has more than 50 locations open throughout North America, Europe and the Middle East.
