Freebirds World Burrito executes TV ad campaign
October 29, 2006
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Freebirds World Burrito, a fast-casual fresh-Mex concept, is searching for loyal customers to share their fanatical stories about Freebirds.
The Texas-wide television advertising campaign will showcase some of the chains' frequent customers who dub themselves "Freebirds Fanatics." According to a news release, the ads are a reenactment of real people's experiences with Freebirds burritos.
The company ran the campaign this year and plans to add it to next year's ad budget.
"The campaign was such a success in 2006, we decided to repeat the concept for our 2007 advertising campaign," said Alan Hixon, chief operating officer of Freebirds World Burrito. "It's humbling to see and hear the outpouring of passion that some of our customers have for Freebirds. We're grateful to all our customers and will continue to strive to make Freebirds the best burrito experience on the planet."
Earlier this year, Freebirds received an Excellence in Television (EAT) Award for the campaign.
