FREEBIRDS rolls out Monster Nachos

FREEBIRDS World Burrito has rolled out new Monster Nachos for a limited time. The item sells for $8.95 and comes with either chicken, steak or carnitas.

Monster Nachos are an extension of the FREEBIRDS Monster Burrito promotion and can feed two people. They start with a large portion of housemade chips topped with black or pinto beans, queso, and choice of grass-fed beef, hormone-free chicken, or all-natural slow-roasted carnitas. They are then built with more than 40 freshly prepared ingredients such as roasted corn salsa, homemade guacamole, grilled jalapenos and barbecue sauce.

Monster Nachos are served in a 100-percent biodegradable container made from sustainable bamboo and corn.

"We're paying homage to the original FREEBIRDS in Santa Barbara, Calif., where friends sharing late night nachos is a sport of choice with college students," said Peter Gaudreau, vice president of operations.

Now through Dec. 2, 2011, FREEBIRDS is also offering its Facebook fans $1 off New Monster Nachos and a chance to win two tickets to the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington, Texas, on Jan. 6, 2012. Prize includes airfare, lodging and meals. For details visit the FREEBIRDS Facebook page.
