Kevin Durant and Orange Leaf team up to challenge kids to make their communities a better place.

Kids all over the country are being challenged by Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and former NBA MVP Kevin Durant to come up with ideas that can help improve their own communities, according to a recent press release. Children who accept the challenge and pledge to make a difference this month will receive 3 ounces of free frozen yogurt.
"Orange Leaf strives to provide not only a fun and inviting place to gather within our stores, but we aim to make a positive impact outside of our stores, in each community where we operate,” Geoff Goodman, Orange Leaf’s president, said in the report. “By rewarding kids who pledge to make a difference in their communities and fulfilling some of those pledge ideas, we hope to give back to the families and communities that have supported our stores and filled them with laughter.”
The promo is available now through Aug. 31, and in September Orange Leaf will donate grants of $500 to franchises across the country. According to the report, the intent of these grants is to fulfill five of the submitted ideas and bring to life the solutions offered by five kids to make their communities a better place. Orange Leaf and Kevin Durant debuted the promotion with a video showing children and Durant coming up with community improvement ideas in an Orange Leaf location.
“Working with kids to help them give back and support their local communities is extremely important to me,” Durant said. “I’m proud to work with Orange Leaf on this program that rewards kids who share these values and am excited to see all the amazing ideas that kids will bring to this program."
The report stated that kids who want to join can either pick up the community activity sheet from an Orange Leaf location or download it from Orange Leaf’s website.
