Beer and wine are now on the menu at the Falozi’s near the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Customers may choose from Budweiser, Bud Light, Peroni and Kentucky Ale beers, or Copa di Vino pinot grigio and cabernet sauvignon wines, according to bizjournals.com.
CEO Carl Howard said the addition may not necessarily be a system-wide initiative but makes sense for this particular location. It may not be appropriate, however, for other restaurants that are in more family-oriented neighborhoods, for example.
If customers seem to like the spirits, the company may consider rolling out beer and wine to other locations near college campuses.
"If this goes over extremely well, perhaps," Howard said in the story. "I need to make sure it's the right move for our brand."
