Fatburger opening in Scotland

Fatburger and  Buffalo's Express are opening three co-branded units across Scotland in the next five years, the first of which is planned for Dundee, according to a company press release.

The brands' parent company, FAT Brands, announced today that it signed the deal with FB Scotland LTD.

"We see tremendous opportunity in Scotland to grow the Fatburger and Buffalo's Express brands thanks to the country's love for American food, especially burgers and wings," Andy Wiederhorn, CEO of FAT Brands, said in the release. "We have a few key cities in mind and are looking forward to not only creating a fabulous dine-in experience but also eventually rolling out secondary services such as vegan options and delivery. These locations will be a place where everyone can congregate to enjoy great American food."

FAT Brands owns six restaurant brands — Fatburger, Buffalo's Cafe, Buffalo's Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses —  that have about 350 locations open and 300 under development in 32 countries.

Wiederhorn will keynote the Restaurant Franchising and Innovation Summit, July 16-18 in London. Register here.
