Culinary art auction to benefit City Harvest

NORWALK, Conn. — The International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York, March 9–11, 2008, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, has announced a new show feature — Photography for Philanthropy, a culinary art auction to benefit City Harvest.
Renowned celebrity chefs such as Lidia Bastianich, Daniel Boulud, Tom Colicchio and Jean Georges Vongerichten, have prepared culinary dishes that have been captured by photographer Diana DeLucia, publisher of New York Restaurant Insider. The 27-inch-by-33-inch photographs are framed with painted black frames from Italy and are autographed by each chef.
The auction closes at 11 p.m. Feb. 24. Opening bids begin at $250, with a second option to buy outright for $950.In addition to the online auction, the entire collection of autographed photographs will be on display in a special exhibit on the show floor. At 11 a.m. March 10, a check from the auction proceeds will be presented to City Harvest.
