Corner Bakery Cafe supports 2009 Great American Dine Out

Corner Bakery Cafeis participating inthe 2009 Great American Dine Out, Sept. 20-26, benefiting Share Our Strength, an organization working to end childhood hunger in America.
 
During the Great American Dine Out, thousands of foodservice providers will ask guests to make a donation to Share Our Strength, and in return, will match each donation made. For a donation of $1 or more, guests will receive a coupon for a free cookie orWhoopee Pieand a small Share Our Strength card they can personalize and place on the wall of their local Corner Bakery Cafe.
 
"The Great American Dine Out initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to give back to our local communities and neighborhoods," saidJim Vinz, Corner Bakery Cafe president and chief operating officer. "With hunger affecting one in every six children in America, we're proud to join a continually-growing list of restaurants this year; all of us coming together to truly benefit our neighbors in need."
 
The first Great American Dine Out in 2008 raised more than half a million dollars. Four thousand restaurants participated, from independent and family-owned establishments to large chains and restaurant groups.
