Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf launches cold brew coffee, tea
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is expanding its selection of cold brew coffee and teas in time for summer. The new beverages, which include Vietnamese Cold Brew Coffee, Mango Cold Brew Tea, Peach Jasmine Cold Brew Tea, Raspberry Cold Brew Tea and Black Cherry Cold Brew Tea, are available until Aug. 26, according to a company press release. The cafes will also offer any small cold brew coffee or cold brew tea for $2 from 2 to 6 p.m., every Thursday in June at participating locations. The offer excludes nitro.
The brand's cold brew coffee is a special blend of its premium Bali Blue Moon and Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffees with real chicory that is roasted and steeped cold for 20 hours, according to the release. The resulting Cold Brew Coffee is smooth, balanced and refreshing with a crisp walnut and black cherry finish, according to the release. The Vietnamese Cold Brew Coffee uses the chain's dark-roasted Cold Brew Coffee combined with sweetened condensed milk.

The cold brew teas use Scottish Breakfast black or Jasmine green tea and steep cold for five hours. Cold brewing gently extracts flavors from the teas, without any bitterness, according to the release.
