The ordering and marketing restaurant platform ChowNow is partnering with Google to allow customers to order straight from a restaurant's online business profile. This translates to more than 5,000 restaurant clients who will now be able to tap into mobile food ordering, according to a news release about the partnership.
Now, customers can simply Google a restaurant from any device and place an order through this new feature, which automatically sends customers to the restaurant's menu.
According to ChowNow, 75 percent of people looking for a place to eat do so from their mobile phones, with 64 percent converting within in an hour. The ChowNow-Google partnership gives restaurants access to these potential customers.
"In only a few weeks, Google has driven nearly 50,000 customers to our restaurant clients, which has resulted in over 21,000 orders," ChowNow co-founder and CEO Christopher Webb said in the news release.
ChowNow currently serves more than 5,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada.
