Chipotle goes rBGH-free

DENVER — Chipotle Mexican Grill has announced it no longer will serve anycheese made with milk from cows treated with the synthetic hormonerBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone).
The move will make Chipotle thefirst national restaurant chain to eliminate rBGH entirely from itemson its menu.
Chipotle began serving 100-percent rBGH-free sour cream last year andhas begun shifting to rBGH-free cheese over the last several months, amove it will complete by year-end, according to a news release. Chipotle also serves rBGH-free, organic milk at some of itslocations.
