Caribou Coffee recognized for loyalty marketing innovation

Caribou Coffee is one of five companies that received a COLLOQUY Recognizes award, honoring programs and companies that “exemplify the most innovative advancements and forward-thinking strategies in loyalty marketing,” according to a news release.

Caribou was joined by Air Canada, Vicinity, Coca-Cola Turkey and Global Hotel Alliance in receiving the recognition. COLLOQUY Recognizes named Caribou Perks as a “Loyalty Program to Watch.” The publication had this to say about the coffee chain’s program:

Caribou Perks surprises members with a range of unpredictable perks. Reward frequency is based on the number of transactions, and perks fluctuate — ranging from size upgrades to free baked goods. Members get reward alerts via e-mail or text. Established earlier in 2014, the program with its mobile component has approximately 200,000 enrollments, accounting for more than 25 percent of Caribou’s transactions.
