California Tortilla has created an app with online check-in, ordering and account access, according to a company press release. The Burrito Elito mobile app also helps customers locate nearby restaurants, earn and redeem their loyalty points, find their account balance and place online orders.

"With the advent of new mobile technology, we felt it was time to evolve our rewards program to something even more convenient for our loyal customers, one that wouldn't require carrying around a plastic card or having their account looked up at the store," said Laura Cissel, VP of marketing, California Tortilla. "With our new mobile app, it's even easier for customers to earn and redeem rewards, access valuable information on the go, order ahead to avoid a wait, and keep connected to their local Cal Tort anytime, anywhere."

Customers who download the free app before Oct. 31 will automatically be entered for a chance to win free burritos for a year.
