California Tortilla launches kids activity book
June 8, 2009
ROCKVILLE, Md. — Kids will eat for free June 10 at California Tortilla as the brand introduces its first kids activity book. For each adult entree purchased, a kids meal will be given away. In addition, customers who make a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation that day will receive a $1 coupon for their next visit.
The chain will celebrate Kids Eat Free Day with a party at their Cleveland Park location in Washington, D.C., from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature free food for children, the first peek at the kids activity book and facepainting, along with California Tortilla mascot Chippy and other fun surprises.
The activity book features the on-going "Adventures of Chippy" including Honey Lime, General Yumminess and Crunchy Burrito. It also will include several interactive games for kids to play before and after they eat.
Last year, California Tortilla started a kids-related partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. To date, the chain has donated more than $20,000 worth of food to the organization.
