California Tortilla adds 'golden tickets' to latest promo palette

May 12, 2009

ROCKVILLE, Md. — California Tortilla will up the ante for the 15th installment of its Annual Pop-Tart Day celebration. On May 20, all customers will receive a free Kellogg's Pop-Tart, but one customer at each store will find a "golden ticket" in their Pop-Tart wrapper, winning free burritos for an entire year. No entrée purchase is necessary.

"Golden ticket" winners at each location will mail in their golden ticket to California Tortilla headquarters to receive a Burrito Elito card that is automatically loaded with a free Spunky Specialty Burrito for 52 consecutive weeks.

Pop-Tart Day was created when the first California Tortilla store was looking for a connection with its customers. The chain is prepared to giveaway more than 20,000 pop-tarts this year, a record-high for the promotion.

The giveaway will be available at all 38 California Tortilla locations across the mid-Atlantic region while supplies last.
