Blaze Pizza will donate $1 from every 11-inch pizza sold at participating U.S. locations on May 25 to support military and first responder families, according to a press release.
The nationwide Memorial Day initiative partners the fast-casual pizza franchise with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that funds educational scholarships for the spouses and children of America's fallen or disabled service members and first responders. Since the partnership began, Blaze Pizza has raised more than $330,000 for the organization.
"Memorial Day is a meaningful time to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many military families and first responders," Casey Terrell, chief marketing officer at Blaze Pizza, said in the release. "We're proud to partner with Folds of Honor in a way that allows our guests to participate in honoring that legacy through something as simple as sharing a pizza with family and friends."
Folds of Honor was founded in 2007 and provides educational scholarships to ensure the legacy of fallen or disabled service members and first responders continues through support for their loved ones.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Blaze Pizza was founded in 2011 and operates more than 250 restaurants across over 30 states and three countries.
