Alabama and Pittsburgh get a gold rush from KFC

August 1, 2016

KFC is testing a new "Georgia Gold" fried chicken and tenders in this month in Mobile and Pittsburgh. The company said the chicken has a crispy, tangy flavor,

"like a grown-up honey mustard – sweet with attitude."

"We purposely paired the traditional southern market of Mobile with the northern mentality of Pittsburgh to determine how guests with different regional taste buds would take to Georgia Gold," said Kevin Hochman, KFC U.S. chief marketing officer.

Test-marketing ends Sept. 4, when KFC will evaluate the results and determine availability elsewhere.
