Operating a restaurant successfully in today’s market requires more data than ever. According to one CIO, managers are spending four to six hours per week compiling reports. Analytics are needed to improve the digital customer experience, increased employee efficiency and reduce operating costs.

Managers are using a variety of software systems including purpose built and custom analytics platfoms, native reporting in individual systems, hospitality specific analytics platforms and generic analytics platforms. But knowing what systems to use can be challenging. According to one survey, nearly half of the respondents do not have the time, tools or skills to prepare KPI reports.
