Restaurant brands are gearing up for the big game with specials and LTOs.
January 31, 2020
Nearly 194 million adults will watch the Kansas City Chiefs square off against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl this weekend, and on average, they'll each spend $88.65 on food, beverages, merchandise and party supplies. That's $17.2 billion of which 80% will go toward food and beverages, according to the National Retail Federation. That means restaurant brands have been gearing up to launch their game-time specials and LTOs.
Below is a partial list of Super Bowl specials.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
In honor of the Super Bowl, Chipotle is bringing back free delivery Sundays throughout February and is also launching an ad campaign with video platform, TikTok. On the busiest day of the year for delivery, Chipotle is teaming up with TikTok's biggest stars to create their very own Chipotle delivery ads that will showcase their personal content styles set to Justin Bieber's hit song "Yummy," according to a company press release.
A collection of creators will premiere Chipotle-sponsored content during each commercial break following a team timeout, including:
"The second screen is essential to the modern-day football viewing experience for Gen-Z," Chipotle CMO Chris Brandt said in the release. "TikTok Timeout allows us to show up where our target audience is and optimize the entertainment value of the evening by delivering them fresh content featuring their favorite creators."
The free delivery is available for all orders over $10.
