More than 140 restaurant execs, plus a variety of sponsors, attended the first Franchising Restaurant and Innovation Summit.

The first Franchising Restaurant and Innovation Summit , held in March in Dallas, brought together more than 140 restaurant execs, plus a variety of sponsors, for educational sessions and networking. Although it its first year, NetWorld Media Group's Cherryh Cansler said the team is already preparing for next year's event.

"We were inspired to create the summit by all the growth via franchising that we've written about over the past two years," said Cansler, who manages FastCasual.com, QSRWeb.com, PizzaMarketplace.com and RetailCustomerExperience.com. "The success of this year's event proved to us that franchisees and franchisors want to learn as much as they can to be more successful. We are always happy when we can give our readers more tools to help grow their businesses."
