Wingstop comps continue to increase

DALLAS — Wingstop president and CEO James A. Flynn has announced that first quarter same-store sales have increased 8.9 percent.
First quarter 2008 sales marks the chain's 19th consecutive quarter of comp increases, dating back to the third quarter of 2003 covering July, August and September. Wingstop also logged a banner year in 2007 with system-wide sales increasing 34.4 percent, up from $153.7 million in 2006 to $206.6 million in 2007.
The rapidly-growing chain expects to open an additional 80 stores in 2008.
