Saladworks has added Barilla Whole Grain wheat rotini pasta to the growing offerings in its salad case. Asparagus & Pea, Lasagna and Loaded Baked Potato soup also are now available in addition to the more than 15 soups that Saladworks locations offer daily.
Saladworks’ white Radiatorre pasta has been a favorite among customers in signature salads such as the Turkey Club and Tivoli, as well as in create-your-own salads. After testing the wheat rotini pasta for several months, Saladworks found that 30 percent to 40 percent of customers chose wheat pasta and were pleased with the new option.
Barilla Whole Grain pasta will be added to Saladworks’ True Nutrition Powerhouse Foods – ingredients that are both good and good for guests. Additionally, Saladworks’ new soups are less than 200 calories per serving. The company launched its True Nutrition campaign in February 2010 to introduce and highlight new powerhouse food salad ingredients.
“Saladworks fans want variety – which is one reason why our create-your-own salad is so popular. We recognize this and are proud to add wheat pasta and three new soups to our menu,” said founder/CEO, John Scardapane. “We’re always listening to our fans’ feedback, and striving to give them more healthy options to choose from in our already plentiful menu.”
In addition to the new menu offerings, Scardapane and members of the company’s executive team are embarking on a tour of the company’s franchise markets.
