Whataburger teams with Feeding America to celebrate legacy

In an effort to celebrate its legacy while also supporting local communities, fast casual brand Whataburger is hosting a special event during its annual week-long Orange Spirit Week event.
It's partnering with Feeding America to host its first-ever systemwide fundraiser in honor of the brand's 71st anniversary, according to a press release.
The 10-state campaign will help provide at least 2.5 million meals through local food banks.
Beginning Aug. 8 through Aug. 15 customers who donate a minimum of $1 at any of the more than 850 locations will receive a thank-you coupon for a free Whataburger with the purchase of medium fries and a 32-ounce beverage. The $1 donation helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding American on behalf of local member food banks, according to the release.
The program is in support of the Whataburger Feeding Student Success community initiative that focuses on helping students at all levels of education.
