[WEBINAR] Food safety, human error and the digital age

February 24, 2017

It's true. The number of foodborne illnesses has grown in recent years. In fact, from 1990 to 2014, the number of such incidents reported increased 81 percent, according to food safety experts at Par Technology, who recently hosted a webinar on new ways tech is tackling this problem.

It is in many ways a case where technology is far ahead of the problem and the industries involved, including the restaurant industry.  But webinar host, Vice President of Product Management Jim Nerschook at Par Technology Surecheck, not only has an in-depth knowledge of the challenges restaurant operators face with food safety but also how best to address them today.

In this webinar, "Food safety, human error and the digital age," Nerschook discusses why paper-and-pencil documentation is sorely inadequate for tracking food freshness and other critical factors in food safety, as well as what technologies exist and how they can be employed in restaurant management.

The benefits, as he explains, include everything from thorough compliant documentation, continual live monitoring and data relay, time-savings for staff and a much more ironclad guarantee of the safety of the foods you're serving.
