Wayback Burgers opens two additional nontraditional locations

June 19, 2014

Wayback Burgers recently announced the opening of two stores in nontraditional locations: a Navy base and a sports and entertainment arena.

Wayback Burgers opened a store in the Navy Exchange food court at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Port Hueneme in California on May 7.  Two additional naval base locations are planned for 2014.

The better burger franchise also partnered with Aramark to open a location in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The company plans to add another 20 nontraditional locations by the end of 2015.

“As a young brand in the industry, we are always looking to separate ourselves from other burger concepts, and expanding nontraditionally enables us to grow brand loyalty and reach customers in locations with a captured audience,” President John Eucalitto said in a news release. “Our model and products fit well within the nontraditional environment and we are now poised to further grow in this segment through strategic partnerships. Not only in arenas and naval bases, but colleges, universities, rest areas, airports, truck stops, and other unique locations.”

Wayback Burgers also plans to expand its traditional stores internationally. It recently inked deals to add 28 locations throughout the Middle East and North Africa and 30 locations in Argentina.

By the end of 2014, the company plans to double its number of locations sold and increase its number of stores open from 80 to 100.
