Veggie Grill expands eastward

Veggie Grill will open its first location beyond the West Coast in the Chicago area later this year, according to a press release.

The premium vegetarian concept has 28 units across California, Oregon and Washington.

"We are thrilled to introduce Veggie Grill to the Chicago community and we couldn't be more excited to have our first location be opening in Lakeview," Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heeley said in the release. "This is such a lively and accessible neighborhood and we can't wait for locals and visitors alike to experience Veggie Grill. This location will allow us to serve a wide audience of guests who are looking for a convenient yet delicious meal, whether they are dining with friends or family or on-the-go from work or home. We plan to open Chicago locations over the next few years and we're looking forward to taking this exciting next step in Chicago."

Veggie Grill was founded in 2006 in Southern California and serves vegetable-centric menu items.
