Uncle Maddio's Pizza announced it has signed an agreement to open an additional restaurant in Orlando with local franchisees Lance and Stephanie DeWitt. The Dewitts are slated to open their first Uncle Maddio's restaurant in South Orlando in early 2016, according to a company press release. The Atlanta-based pizza franchise has also partnered with Michael Holmes, an existing franchisee in Tallahassee, to open three units in the Orlando area with the first opening next year in East Orlando.

"We did our research and instantly fell in love with Uncle Maddio's," said Lance DeWitt, franchisee. "The taste and pizza quality won us over, as did Uncle Maddio's CEO Matt Andrew. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for the business is the kind of leadership we were looking for in a franchise."

Lance DeWitt has been in the Orlando food-and-beverage business for 25 years working for companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Rainforest Café and Sheraton Hotels. He has used this experience to help create, develop and grow concepts ranging from premium food and beverage QSRs to marketing and consulting services, the release stated. His wife, Stephanie, has more than 13 years of experience as a direct marketing professional and currently holds an executive marketing position with cloud computing company Salesforce.com.

"Lance and Stephanie understand the premium fast-casual restaurant guest and know how to provide fast, great service while still delivering a high-quality product," said Matt Andrew, Uncle Maddio's CEO. "They are a perfect match for Uncle Maddio's and will build a great restaurant for the Orlando community."

Uncle Maddio's Pizza has 41 locations in 13 states.
